My name is Callum, and I am a passionate linguist with a strong interest in languages and cultures. I have been working in translation for over five years and continue to find the profession both challenging and rewarding.

I began learning French at school and later spent a year working as an au pair in France before starting university. During my Bachelor’s degree, I studied German, Arabic, and Turkish, and spent a year living in Jordan in the Middle East—an experience that greatly deepened my linguistic and cultural understanding.

I went on to complete a Master’s degree in Arabic/English Translation and undertook an internship with the Directorate-General for Translation of the European Commission in Luxembourg.

I am based in Luxembourg, where I work in the financial sector as a professional translator. I am a sworn translator - recognised by the Luxembourg Court of Justice and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

I speak six languages: English, French, German, Arabic, Turkish, and Kannada (a South Indian language).
